My Story
A personal health crisis sparked my passion for functional medicine. Two years before the above photograph was taken, I experienced an incapacitating illness where many months of traditional medical therapies failed to produce a diagnosis or provide relief. Out of necessity, I learned functional medicine and ultimately identified and healed the root cause of my illness.
Approximately two years later, I summited Mt. Chiquita (13,075 ft.) and Mt. Ypsilon (13,500 ft.) on the same day. The photograph above, taken on Mt. Ypsilon, represents victory on many levels.
I am a licensed and board-certified Medical Doctor, Functional Medicine Physician, and Medical Acupuncturist in Franklin, TN, and I've been treating patients for over two decades. I use my unique holistic approach, a fusion of Western, Eastern, and Functional Medicine gained through years of experience and training, to help patients overcome chronic illness, regain energy and vitality, and start living again.
"I've been doctoring for more than 25 years, and it's a HUGE part of who I am. Outside the office, I spend my time with my supportive husband and our kitties, gardening, creating healthy recipes to share with you, and hiking."
